The Culver Woodcraft Camp is an activity camp for both boys and girls aged 9-14 years. Lasting six weeks, the camp offers several activities for kids with the aim of helping them develop independence, leadership skills, and a positive self-image.
The camp’s busy schedule keeps the children involved. Every weekday, campers attend five 45-minute classes. These classes consist of academic classes such as English, math, and composition writing, and there are also more than 80 electives to choose from. Many of the electives run for only two weeks, with the academic classes continuing throughout the camp’s entire six-week period.
Students kick off their weekends by participating in a general inspection early on Saturday. In the evening they take part in the Garrison Parade, and then gather around the Council Fire just before going to bed. On Sunday mornings, campers can attend one of four religious or spiritual-life services: Roman Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Constructive Meditation. Services for those of the Jewish faith are held every Friday.
